It’s that time of year again! The fourth quarter of 2009 is already upon us and we at WingDamage are here to keep you in the loop about some of the notable games coming out for each platform. Below you’ll find some of our most anticipated titles for both the DS and the PSP.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PSP)

“The strength of the Silent Hill series has always been the storytelling. Like all early survival horror games, the play control is a huge hurdle to a lot of people. Combine those two facts and you’ll know why I’m completely fascinated by this series despite never having played it for more than a few minutes. This remake is their big chance to do the gameplay right and give those of us that were turned off by archaic gameplay a chance to get sucked into that surreal world. Looking for some scares on the go? This may just be the answer to that.” -Jonah

LittleBigPlanet (PSP)

“Take the most adorable, inventive, and creative game of this generation and put it in the palm of your hand. How could you not be excited?” -Dave

Half Minute Hero (PSP)

“A game that lasts only 30 seconds doesn’t seem like much to get excited about, but through clever time manipulation a half minute is all you need to save the world. This one has just about everyone excited with its old school sprite based look and awesomely quirky concept.” -Dave

Nostalgia (DS)

“Another game I played at PAX. Sadly, I only got a chance to spend a few minutes with it, which is no way to judge an RPG. Even still, the thought of a new, portable game that captures the feel of Skies of Arcadia and Grandia has quickly put this game on my “must play” list.” -Jonah

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS)

“I don’t know why Link is a train conductor, but I do know that my time with the game at PAX revealed that controlling a Phantom through dungeons is an interesting concept that has the potential for some truly unique puzzles.” -Jesse

Bookworm Adventures (DS)

“Words are our friends. This is never more evident than when playing the Bookworm Adventures games. You use words to battle the forces of evil. The more complex the words, the more damage you can do. An English nerds dream game realized, and now in portable form? Yes please!” -Jonah
