On a very special fifty-fourth episode of “Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast”, we discuss the hot topic that has been on everyone’s mind: Asteroids Porn FanFic. Boners may have also been mentioned. Even still, it manages to be a PG affair, so no worries there my friends.
More importantly, we discuss video games and the ones we have been playing. Wes has finally discovered the joy of Zack & Wiki, which was a nice pick-me-up after accidentally deleted his save file on Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Returning guest host, Adam “Heat Man” Anania, finished Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth and tells us all about the changes from the regular series.
Meanwhile, Jonah has finally fulfilled his destiny and acquired the Dreamcast “classic”, Sega Bass Fishing, complete with fishing pole controller. He has also been stumbling his way through Civilization IV and trying desperately to pull himself away from Osmos long enough to record this podcast.
Jesse has finished The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces with mixed feelings on the whole experience and started a play through of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney to bring things back around.
There are several news articles discussed, not the least of which revolves around Final Fantasy XIII and why so much content was cut from the final game (Spoiler Alert: It was cut for a reason!). Good news on the Super Street Fighter IV front as all of the gang’s favorite characters from Street Fighter 3 have been added to the game’s roster.
We also see the return of one of our favorite segments with the most PBS sounding bumper music to date, “Let’s Talk About Stuff”. This week, we discuss DS2 rumors and what we’d like to see in a follow-up to Nintendo’s popular hand-held.
