Video Games: Democracy Edition
Not too long ago an interesting question was proposed. Who would take the individual offices of the state if video game characters ran the United States government?
The rules were simple. The nominees could not be characters that originated in other media, or people that existed in real life. Sorry Spongebob and Madden, perhaps you can form your own super team and take over Cuba. I hear that place is beautiful in the summertime.
Also, the nominees must fit their position of power. No nominating Cloud for president just because he is everyone’s favorite emo kid. So without further ado, I bring you your new heads of office.

I think it is fair to say that the surprise at the end of Metroid has to rank amongst the all time great surprises in the Surprise Hall of Fame in Branson, Missouri.
And if that actually does exist, I am as surprised as you.
For those of you that don’t know by now, Samus is a girl. Yeah, that dude in the crazy cool power armor is actually a girl.
Glass Joe: An Inspiration to Us All

His head has hit the canvas too many times. His jaw makes a little clicking sound whenever he tries to eat. His teeth feel like they are floating around in his skull. Everything tastes like blood, as if his taste buds can’t forget the last fight.
1-99 takes a lot out of any man.
Glass Joe has been beaten. Been knocked down. Knocked out. But the man keeps on fighting. 99 times he has had to watch as another man raised his fist in triumph. 99 times he has entered that ring and lost.
What kind of courage does it take to get beat that many times and still have the guts to enter that ring?
