Barrel Roll! Episode 17 - “Aion Gives You Wings!”

"Like Redbull, Minus the Horrible Taste"
On a very special seventeenth episode of “Barrel Roll! - A Video Game Podcast”, we see the return of our very own prodigal son, Luke. We are also once again joined by our good friend and fellow gaming enthusiast Wesley Johnson. Together we discuss the pressing issues of the day, like what video games we have all been playing over the last week.
Wesley and Luke have both been playing inFamous, the PS3 exclusive super-hero romp with crazy electrical powers. They each give their thoughts on the experience. Luke also played, and finished, the new Bionic Commando. Did it live up to it’s predecessor? You will have to listen and find out.
Review: Klonoa (Wii)

Klonoa for the Nintendo Wii is a remake of the ps1 classic, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, a game I never had the privilege of playing. In an attempt to revive this franchise, Namco Bandai has decided to start by remaking the first entry in the series in the form of a budget title to both rekindle the interest of fans as well as bring in new players that missed out on the original (like me!).
Klonoa is a very accessible 2.5D platformer. The controls are simple enough that you only need as many buttons as an NES controller. Realizing this, Namco Bandai included the “sideways Wiimote” scheme that I ended up using for the entire game. There were a handful of other control schemes available as well, but given that you only need a D-pad and two buttons, this scheme works just fine.

"E3 Talk is Mandatory"
On a very special sixteenth episode of “Barrel Roll! - A Video Game Podcast”, we give our E3 predictions. This is due to a contractual obligation, and since this goes up on Tuesday mornings, I’m sure 99% of what we talk about has already been rendered moot.
