Barrel Roll! #115 - “5,000 Missiles Strong”
On the latest installment of the Barrel Roll Podshow, Adam 1 returns from the Nether-realms with tales of Minecraft co-op play (and trolling).
The guys decide that everything that can be said about Portal 2 without spoiling it has been said, and Jesse moves on to more insane SHMUP action with a return to Ikaruga and the 5,000 missile strong Bangai-o HD: Missile Fury. Jonah finally finishes Mega Man Legends, and realizes he did complete it back in the day after all, and moves on to much more nerdy endeavors with Magic: The Gatherin’ - Duels of the Plainswalkers and Sim City 4.
There is also much talk of Dragon Quest IX, which Adam has just started up, as well as a ton of recent XBLA demos.
All this plus news and the games releasing this week on Barrel Roll! #115, “5,000 Missiles Strong”.

linthuslyth says:I’ve had some experience with Trouble Witches. When you stopped shooting, you would auto-collect all coins on-screen.
Also, about the magic circle; you can control the size of the circle by how long you hold down the button. When you kill an enemy, all bullets inside the circle that came from the destroyed enemy would be turned into coins. If a bullet complete passes through the magic circle before you kill the enemy(or turn off the magic circle) they’ll be redirected towards you(at normal speed).
Finally, with the special item. Enemies destroyed by a special item would drop “Star Coins” which I think was used primarily for score. So you’d want to use them on parts of the stage with high enemy density.
Although these might not all apply to the “Neo”; I’m not sure if they changed any of those mechanics.

Jonah "spambot" Gregory says:Whaaaaat? If any or all of what you just said is true, then I think I judged it too harshly.
Well, other than the voice acting, which is deliciously terrible.
Either way, I’ll be giving the demo another chance.
