Barrel Roll! #37 - “Come And Knock On Our Door”
On a very special thirty-seventh episode of the hit internet dramedy, “Barrel Roll!”, the guys are in a real pickle when Wes accidentally has two dates on the same night! It’s up to the rest of the gang to dress up like waiters and fool the unsuspecting dates that Wes is a real “Stand-Up” sort of guy!
He’s also been playing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which he gives a glowing review. Jonah has been playing a mysterious game he can’t talk about and a little bit of Trine. Brittany continues to run her highly successful farming scheme in Harvest Moon: The Tree of Tranquility and Jesse has once again gone back to Metroid Prime Trilogy, as well as continued his dragon training in Breath of Fire IV.
A new segment is introduced, which ties directly into Friday Old Games. Here we discuss a game from previous console generations, say why we chose it, if it holds up, etc. This week’s game was Sin and Punishment, which Jesse wanted to finish before the Wii sequel.
In the news, we discuss the upcoming Prinny sequel and ponder if anyone has ever finished the first game.We also discuss the upcoming Civilization Network and our hopes for the game being something on Facebook worth playing. Jesse is excited at the recent news that Arc Rise Fantasia is coming to the states (thanks, Ignition!), and the spilled beans via Charles “Voice of Mario” Martinet and the unannounced Mario game that apparently is in the works.
We also talk in-depth about A Boy and His Blob, both old and new, in “Let’s Talk About Stuff”. Why the old one was horribly frustrating vs. why the new one is fantastic.
We also announce the winner of our PAX Pack Giveaway #4. All this and more on the latest episode of “Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast”. Enjoy!
