Barrel Roll #163 – “CORG-OUT!”
With Jonah still busy moving, it’s up to Jesse, Wes, and prodigal son Russ Walsh to carry on the Barrel Roll podcast spirit. Can they keep things on track? Or will they be doomed to derail each other with discussions of Blitzball and Archie Comics crossover fighters?
Actual video game discussions are (probably) had as Jesse tries to figure out whether or not he likes Deadlight and tells legends of the ultimate neck snap in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Wes shares his thoughts on 10000000 and Wanderlust. And Russ takes us back in time with the original Bioshock, then further back in time with Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD. Also, Wizorb and the announcement of XCOM: Enemy Unknown multiplayer modes.

Barrel Roll! #139 - “Which One Do I Shoot?”
It’s a triumphant return to form when Jesse, Wes, Adam and Jonah get together once again to talk about video game related topics.
Adam Milecki (aka Adam 2) has been playing an awful lot of Dark Souls and gives us the rundown. He and Jonah discuss the nitty gritty of it versus its predecessor, Demon’s Souls, at least to the extent that someone (Jonah) can, having tried to play it while watching a nine-month-old. As it turns out, that is not as much as he would like. Not having had much time to play anything, Jonah did at least get to start a Titan’s Quest campaign with some friends, and managed to rustle up a four person team of gladiatorial badassery. Which translates to clicking on things.
Jesse started, and completed, Batman: Arkham City between this and the last show. He goes in-depth as to how it managed to become even better than Arkham Asylum without giving away any spoilers, so calm down nerds. Speaking of spoilers, Wes finally played through Bioshock, and that we do go into spoilers on. Why? Because it came out in 2007 and you should have all played it by now.

Video Game Posters by Justin Russo
Our friend and fellow JPAGer, Justin Russo has designed some very cool video game themed posters. He is currently trying to get them printed, but he needs your help!
If you’ve never heard of Kickstarter, it is a way to pledge money to various creative projects from people around the internet. It is sort of like a Public Broadcasting Telethon, complete with rewards at different levels of money donated.
So head on over and help him out!
Why I Love: Achievements

If there were 12 step programs available for gamerscore-aholics, I would have to go to meetings every week and drink terrible coffee, all so I could listen to people talk about trading in Bioshock to get their hands on Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is a horrible, consuming addiction. I find myself playing games on systems other than the 360 and in the back of my mind I keep thinking, “I could be getting Achievements!” This even happens when I am playing games that I really enjoy. “Man, this Shadow of the Colossus is amazing, but I could go play Cars: Mater-National and pick up some achievements.” I know that I have a horrible addiction.
I love Achievements. I love the little bloop blip sound that pops up every time you get a new one. I love checking to make sure that I have more points than my friends. I just love Achievements.
